Fifty Shades of Grey Censored in Zimbabwe

So Fifty Shades of Grey has been actually been censored in Zimbabwe. the movie has also been banned in countries like Kenya, Nigeria, Malaysia, India just to name but a few.

Some of the reasons for the ban was that the movie has strong sexual content including indulging dialogue, some unusual behavior, some graphic nudity and for language.
As a normal curious being, I started looking for this movie but could not find it for weeks on end.

Finally I stumbled upon the movie on glowgaze.com where I usually watch my favourite series.

Primarily I was eager to watch this movie out of curiosity sake and I was interested in finding out what it was about this movie that made it banned in several countries across the world. People of different cultures across the world responded differently to this movie.

I was shocked at the sex scenes between “nerdy” Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey. They are out of this world (not in a good way though). They are so damn unnatural and sadistic.
I really can't find the right words to describe what i saw. No wonder the Censorship Board of Zimbabwe was quick to censor the movie.
I realised that the movie is indeed romanticising and celebrating abuse of women.
As one critique says If he-Christian- wasn't rich and attractive, would this behaviour be normal?" Hell no! Why then should it be celebrated now?
But with the use of the internet, I’m not surprised that 300 000 copies were downloaded in the first three days  alone and the number has most probably risen. people are downloading this movie, others (like me) watch it online while others will grab their copies from the streets for as little as a dollar.
in other words, the efforts made by the Censorship Board of Zimbabwe were in vain.

Watch the Official trailer here to get a sneak peek of this much talked about movie.
